ANGELINE “ANGIE” “FISCHER” ZASTROW, 81, went to her eternal home of rest on April 10, 2013, surrounded by her family at home, after a five year battle with cancer.
Angeline was born on December 30, 1931, in the township of Underhill, WI. Angeline married Theodore Frank Zastrow of Pulcifer, WI on August 13, 1949, at Immanuel Lutheran Church White Clay Lake, Cecil, WI. Angeline’s favorite activities included quilting, sewing, playing board games with her family and friends and her love of attending to the cows and milking cows. She enjoyed being a part of the Ladies Aide and sharing her love of Christ through Sunday School and church choir.
Angeline, the sweetheart of his life, is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Theodore F. Zastrow; her daughters, Joyce (Zastrow) Johnson; Carol (Zastrow) and Edward Stanek; her son, Stanley Zastrow; her daughter-in-law, Barbara (Jaeger) Zastrow and foster daughter, Michelle and Larry Ninnemann. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ben and Roni Zastrow and their daughter, Emma Zastrow; Julie (Zastrow) and Matt Schelk and their daughter, Abby Schelk; Dawn Johnson; Cassandra (Johnson) and Christopher Carter; Carissa (Stanek) and Gabe Baker; Mark and Stefanie Stanek and their children, Allissa, Conner, Lila and Dayton Stanek; Steven Stanek and his daughter, Nevaeh Stanek; Leah Zastrow; Jassmyn (Zastrow) and Tim Wandry; Emanuel Zastrow and Hannah Zastrow. Her siblings also survive her, Marcella (Fischer) and Ivan Mueller; Beverly (Fischer) and Harold Walker; Roy and Mary Ellen Fischer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Emma Fischer; her oldest son, Miles Zastrow; her infant daughter, Bernadine Zastrow and an infant son; two grandchildren, infant child of Carol and Ed Stanek and infant child of Stanley Zastrow; her son-in-law, LTC Dennis Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith United Lutheran Church, 11465 Old U Rd, Gillett (formerly St. John’s Lutheran Church of Pulcifer) with Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Family and friends may gather at Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at the church from 12:00 p.m. noon until the time of the service. Interment will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pulcifer. Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil is assisting the family.
